An Australian company has designed the world first snorkle that gives people who have asthma a chance to go diving. The great thing about this product is that it’s simple to use, all you need to do is place your inhaler canister in it’s special compartment, and woolaa! Whenever you need to get a dose of medicine, simply press that end of the snorkle just like you would your inhaler. This snorkle comes with some other features like the removable mouthpiece, and a purge valve go get rid of the water. There are no available, but it’s being used already in Australia, and New Zealand.

Researchers from the University of Tokyo have developed a SHOJI (Symbiotic Hosting Online Jog Instrument) which can detect the mood of a room. Originally developed by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Walrus is a huge blimp that is made to drop up to 1,000 tons of goods to land-locked countries with little to no trade. This new blimp is capable of landing on water and soil, and could be a better way of transporting goods opposed to the Sea Vessel because it’s faster and cheaper to run.

Researchers from MIT have developed a new passenger jet, thats no louder then a washing machine. Although the plan had started in 2003 the concept has just been released, and is about the size of a Boeing 767. So how is this plane so quite? That 3D image you’re looking at above was generated within the Cheotpics360, a four-sided transparent pyramid develop by a Danish team of engineers. The images can be produced indoors or out, and produce an image 1.5-meters to 30-meters. The picture generated by the four projectors are generated by using reflectors and mirrors.

Although this looks like an intense gaming setup, it’s really the future of the Air Force. An actual pilot site around a wrap around display, where he can see everything he needs too. This setup also gives him the option of sitting down or standing up. The pilot also has the power to control more then one unmanned vehicle. For any of you future pilots, make sure you get to know Universal Control System (UCS) because this is the future of the Air Force.

Today it’s been announced that the Hal-5 robotic suit will head into production soon.Eventually this will become handy for applications such as walking assistance and rehabilitation, nursing, factory work and disaster relief, and assisted walking for the paralyzed. Soon the company plans to produce “20 units” by 2007, while ramping up to “400-500″ in 2008. Although this would be a neat idea for a costume party, if you really wanted a real Hal-5, you would need to fork up $42,273.

Today it’s been announced that Boeing is preparing to test their first laser equiped 747. The “airborne laser (ABL) aircraft” was officially introduced at a ceremony in the firm’s integrated defense systems facility in Wichita, and it was announced that all systems were go for “testing.” When finished, ABL will be capable of destroying a ballistic missile during its boost phase, while it is still climbing in the Earth’s atmosphere and before it can deploy its warheads – all at the speed of light.

By finding out how to conduct electricity through plastic instead metal researchers have found a way to maximize the storage capacity.
