Sony’s new HD camcorder, the HDR-UX5 (shown $1000), can record directly to DvDs. Now you don’t have to hassle with converting your footage to a DvD, but there is one catch. The catch is that these discs are only playable on Blu-ray players or PCs. Not a big deal if you have a Blu-ray player or don’t mind watching you footage on a PC monitor. Personally I would like it if i could pop it right into my DvD player.
