This gigantic magnetic slingshot is just one of the many toys the military is able to spend millions of dollars of your tax money on. That’s nothing when you consider they are spending nearly a trillion of our income taxes each year. So just what is this? This is a satellite launch system that uses magnetic levitation to accelarate its payload around a gigantic ring. This would accelerate its payload to an amazing 21,600mph hypothetically allowing it to launch satellites, but if that’s what it’s truly for why’s the military so interested?
