Bluetooth technology allows the SportVue BT1, by Motion Research, to show speed, RPM and selected gear info all on a LED display clipped into your motorcycle helmet. This way you dont need to take a eye of the road.
Also displaying a radar detector and a caller ID, but they wont stop there. They are working on have a GPS system displayed also. Expected to be out by Christmas at no more than $200.

LG has just released an in-dash entertainment / GPS navigation system named the LAN-9600R. It’s got 1 DIN format (standard format for car radios) and has a motorized screen, a handsfree Bluetooth kit as well as a USB port to connect a thumb drive which could be used to transfer music. Here’s a new car based GPS system with integrated PC software. It’s got a 6.5-inch touchscreen which runs windows. With it’s large buttons, it’s easy to navigate while driving. The GPS with the 3.5 inch touch screen display features a built in MP3 player. It doesn’t stop there, it also has a photo viewer and a pedestrian mode to calculate walking routes. There has been news about the new Helio Drift for a while now, but all the news has been made official. The new Helio Drift is priced at $225, and comes loaded with new features. One great thing about it is that it’s got a GPS. Not just a GPS though, this has Google maps built into it. What’s ever cooler then that is it’s social networking device that’s built into it called Buddy Beacon. Although Sanyo isn’t too big on their GPS systems, they’ve definitely stepped up their game, releasing the NV-SD10DT and the NV-M10. This new GPS has a 4.5-inch 400 x 234 resolution touchscreen, 1GB SD card loaded with maps and POIs, and a 1-watt built-in speaker. With a popular car show going on today, there were some cool tech surprises, but the UVIA M100 mobile infotainment device from Unwired Vehicles is one of the sweetest. The box uses EV-DO mobile broadband from Verizon or Sprint to deliver rear-seat passengers in your vehicle a selection of entertainment apps along with broadband Internet access so you can check your e-mail, IM, check your fantasy teams and stream music and video. These products can be either installed in the head rests, of the headliner. The only thing you will need to be aware of is that you’ll need a 3G wireless broadband antenna is mounted externally to increase reception quality and bandwidth throughput.
The UVIA M100 will be available in Arizona, California and Nevada in December 2006 and will be available nationally in early 2007 for $3,499.

We have heard rumars about when the Nokia 330Â is going to be released, but we finally have a closer date. Its 3.5-inch touchscreen will give you voice guidance and visual directions using NavTeq map data, and it also includes a music and video player with DivX playback. The Nokia 330 Auto Navigation is expected to be available in select channels in Europe during the fourth quarter 2006 at an estimated retail price of EUR 360 without taxes.

Through the program Google Earth, mountains were spotted in Alberta Canada that looks like a Native Americans head. You can see his face by typing in 50° 0′38.20″N 110° 6′48.32″W. Now it might just be me, but it looks he’s wearing ear buds, maybe even an iPod.

This player supports MPEG-1/2/4, H.264, DivX, WMV 7/8/9, XviD, MP3, WMA, OGG, AC-3, and WAV formats. It also has 60 GB of space, an LCD display, and GPS capability. This product will come out some time next year.

Today Navicore has just released their smallest and lightest GPS receiver for Bluetooth connection. Navicore’s new 30g GPS receiver measures 6.4 x 2.2 x 1.5cm, and sets into your car. The only downside is that Navicore decided not to have the Nokia charger-friendly power port, which was replaced with a USB connector.

Not only is this a GPS system, it also has extensive weather conditions to make your trip easier. This GPS system tells you what roads are closed due to weather conditions. This GPS system also has a “social networking service,” so you can actually leave a specific comment on a loacation. In the future, look for this to be realeased in the US.
