Eat dinner and drink fine wine at the new Hilton restaurant…beneath the sea. At the Ithaa Undersea restaurant you wont have to worry about haveing a bad view out the window. You will be able to see the fishes and eat them too. This restaurant is a glimpses of the future. Soon there will be an Atlantis down under the sea.

Best Buy earns $43 million in profit from unused gift cards

During the holiday season, it’s safe to say that many shoppers buy gift cards for their friends and family. Well Best Buy reported a $43 million gain in fiscal 2006 from cards that hadn’t been used in two or more years. Don’t expect this sales number to go down, this year it’s expected that $24.8 billion worth of cards will be sold, up 34 percent from last year. Read the rest of this entry »


Amazon Selling Zune For $90

Amazon has been having their Customer Vote as a promotional deal. We saw the Xbox 360 win a few weeks ago, but this time it’s the Zune. Starting Tuesday the 30GB media player will be selling for only $90. The only downside is that there are only 1,000 units for sale, which mean these could sell out in seconds, which was the case the the Xbox 360’s.

Zune’s ranked 18th best MP3 Player

Before the Zune was released, everything thought that this could be the MP3 player that would take the the iPod dynasty. So it’s been about 2 weeks and how are they doing? Well, not very well. iTunes deal with Beatles?

Fortune magazine is reporting that Britain’s EMI Group (the Beatles’ record label) is close to making a deal with iTunes to have their songs in an iPod ad. We saw this with Bano, and now it’s with the Beatles. The Beatles recors label is also talking about having their own branded iPod’s. Don’t be surprised if you see these one shelves soon.

So far black Friday has treated us well with great savings from Apple. For today, and only today, most of the iPods and other accessories are on sale. As you can see, you can save $21 on an iPod, and you can save up to $50 on other products.

Amazon to sell Xbox 360 for $100 next week

For the past week I’ve posted a few times about how Amazon could possibly be selling the Xbox 360 for $100. Well it’s all a promotional deal to get more people to Amazon. How it works is users can vote on two products, which ever product gets the most votes will sell very cheap. Voting ends on Thursday (Xbox has about 85% of the votes). So next week we should see a very heap Xbox for sale!

Red Sox GM Offered Store Manager $51,111 for Rights on PS3!

Yesterday morning Red Sox general manager offered the store manager at a local best buy $51,111 to cut the long line so he could get the nice PS3. The Theo Epstein went on to pay $5000 for the system!

“Clearly I believe PS3 has really fine features and graphics and it would be a great fit in my living room,” said Epstein, who wouldn’t disclose the amount paid. “I’m excited to move on to the next step of the process and read the manual.” — 11.17.06, Theo Epstein, Chronic Overspender

PlayStation 3 Sells for $9,000 on eBay

I’m sure most of you feel like waiting in line for 3+ days is a bit crazy, but then you go on eBay and see the consoles going to HUGE amounts of money. Today a PS3 was officially sold for $9000! This is absolutely wack, because I’m sure we can all find better ways to spend $9000.
