Cubey Speakers to Simulate Surround Sound

SpeakersWhile oddly resembling the companion cube to some gamers, JVC’s new SP-A440 speakers are to give a ‘broader’ sound coverage, resembling that of a surround sound experience. The SP-A440 has two play modes – theater mode provides the surround sound while music mode gives us a clear two-channel sound. Prepped to come in a multitude of colors (red, white silver, and naturally black), the new speakers should be shipping in late February in Japan for around $45. Hit the jump for additional pictures. The Sony Ericsson’s SO903iTV although originally just a rumor is now reality. The Bravia phone will sport a 3 inch widescreen display with a built-in TV tuner. Along with a camera, and memory for holding all your other media this phone/TV is something we can all appreciate. Currently, the phone is set to launch solely on Japan’s NTT DoCoMo m. Its a Rubik’s Cube, no its a MP3 player, its BOTH!? Yes, a very impractical design for a MP3 play if you ask me. Its a neat idea to control your MP3 play with the twists and turns of a Rubick’s Cube, but who wants to carry around a big block to listen to some tunes?

Sony’s WAI

Sony’s WAI is the latest Wireless Digital Music Streamer. Including a USB wireless network interface and supporting formats like MP3, WMA and AAC with it’s capability of tapping into your pre-existing Wi-Fi connection this looks like a pretty hot item. The Wi-Fi connection allows you to catch music from remote sources using Wi-Fi even with a PC in the other room.
